Shot Here

Road to the Funeral, Chicago, Illinois by Wanda E. Fleming, November 2014

A photographer?  God, no. I wish.

But I love framing then stopping the world.  It’s like being Superman and holding up your palm to a speeding train.

When I was 8 years old, I was diagnosed with severe nearsightedness correctable by high power lenses. But without them, the world moves in a haze of blurred colors. (I have always attributed my eyesight to the reason why my sense of  of smell is so piercingly heightened. I can smell cookies baking two doors down.)

I own no special photography equipment, and I like the most rudimentary of everything. I shoot with whatever I have, whenever I feel like it, through car windows, down rabbit holes. Unretouched with odd eyes . ~
